The HTC One Mini is back on sale in the UK, after an appeal court overturned an earlier decision to ban it over alleged infringement of Nokia patents. The injunction is subject to an appeal for 6 December, but if that fails the ban will go ahead. HTC tried to argue that the infringement concerned just a "very small component" and that Nokia was only interested in the money. Blocking U.K. Nokia has clarified that this ban refers to the HTC Desire X, HTC One XL, HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC nokia htc one mini One V, although Judge Arnold stayed the order against the HTC One as "the potential harm [of banning the handset] to HTC outweighs that to Nokia." "HTC's evidence is that the consequences of an immediate injunction will be catastrophic for its UK business because the One is its flagship model. It is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and has 1GB of RAM. The HTC One mini sports a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and pixel density of 341ppi. As a result, Judge Richard Arnold ruled today that HTC can no longer sell its One Mini smartphone in the UK.
An official statement from HTC noted that they had filed "an urgent application to appeal." The company was told earlier in December that it would have to stop selling the One Mini smartphone in Britain after a court said the product infringed some patents owned by Finnish rival Nokia.
Rest assured that our award winning HTC One handset will be available as usual." No other details about that new flagship phone were mentioned, meanwhile, but HTC unveiled the HTC One in Feb.
